Just purchased your new DSLR and don’t know how to use it!  Get off auto and take control of your camera!  Not sure what all these controls do!  We can show how to control your camera and get beautiful images. 

Our Exclusive Get to know your DSLR photography courses are held at the stunning Ripley Castle and are designed to offer an introduction to photography and camera training to anyone who wants to get to grips with their Digital SLR.

Learn in a relaxed and enjoyable way on how to take control of your camera and get it of program mode and onto Manual to capture better photographs. The course includes a mixture of classroom and outdoor practical exercises around the grounds of Ripley Castle. This beautiful lakeside location and gardens will inspire many excellent photographic opportunities.

Tuition comes from professional photographer Pete Bristo MBE FRPS a local  wedding and Portrait photographer with over 30 years experience in Photography.

Understanding the camera functions

Understanding the Shooting Modes

Light and Light Quality

Light Balance

Exposure-Shutter Speed-Apeture-Film Speed ISO

Depth of Field

Flash & Fill-flash

Advice on camera equipment for the budget

Additional Information:

Tea & Coffee will be provided

Minimum age is 16

No previous photographic experience is required, but Participants must have a Digital SLR camera.  We can supply a Proffessional DSLR for the course for  a cost of £15 for the course.

Dress!! Wear some warm clothing and bring along a golf brolly,  just incase it rains!!
